{Meet the E-Board}

Come meet your 2010-2011 IRO Executive Board! The E-Board is responsible for day-to-day management of MSU IRO, including planning and coordinating trips to conferences around the continent. We have some big plans for the group--it will be a great year! We were very pleased by our success last year, and are looking forward to making this year the most successful in IRO history. We would love to hear any suggestions or comments you have, so feel free to contact us. In the mean time, get to know us:

President: Tom Nally
Tom Nally is the President of MSU-IRO. He is a junior here at MSU in the James Madison College, double-majoring in International Relations and Comparative Cultures and Politics. This is his third year doing Model UN, but in high school he was a three-year competitor in student congressional debate and extemporaneous speaking. Tom’s job is to preside over the general membership and E-Board of IRO, set meeting agendas, promote IRO to the university, and while attending conferences, tie up any loose ends IRO may have. While not studying or promoting IRO, Tom enjoys hanging out with friends, watching Jersey Shore, shenanigans, immature jokes, good conversations, Australian electro-pop, sleeping, and meeting new people.

Vice President of Finance: John Radcliff
John is responsible for fundraising and financial bookkeeping, including ensuring that IRO does not go into debt.

Vice President of Membership: Shaheen Sheikh
Shaheen acts as the liason between membership and the E-Board, and is responsible for coordinating recruiting efforts and social events.

Vice President of Conference Preparation: Matt Sunderlin
Matt Sunderlin has been doing this for eleven years now, which either lends his lectures the weight of immense venerability or else makes him easily dismissed as out-of-touch with the Model UN-youth of today. Matt’s duties include preparing members for conferences through instruction on procedure, strategy, and research, not to mention the somewhat esoteric art of gavel-filching. When not otherwise engaged in schoolwork or sleeping, Matt can be found searching the bowels of Wikipedia for the origin and meaning of such obscure terms as "spare time."

Vice President of Technology and Operations: Jim Smith
Jim manages the IRO website, organizes conference placements, and coordinates with conference staffs and transportation.
